Number of Episodes: depends on which series you watch. The original, 1999 series has 62 episodes, and the remastered 2011 version has 148 episodes (the English dub is still producing episodes)
Synopsis: Gon is a young boy who dreams of following in the footsteps of his father, Ging, by becoming a Hunter (individuals who can pursue many different tasks, such as hunting down criminals, hunting rare items, hunting rare creatures, etc.). After completing his challenge of catching the largest fish in his home island, Gon sets off on an adventure to complete the Hunters exam. Along the way he meets new friends and encounters challenges as he goes on a search to find his long lost father.
